A Marion Legend

Tonight our local Chamber of Commerce honored to individuals as Legends in Business. An aware was given to our local 85-year old watch repairman. All the new "business" jewelry stores don't have repair people for intricate watches so our little guy is certainly a legend in our community.

They also honored my husband. I have to say this honor was truly deserved. This is a very small town (about 27,000) plus our county so although the legend surrounding him just got its beginnings in the late 1980's since that time Moorehead Communications has been recognized many times over for its success in the retail cellular industry. Mr. Moorehead believes all the success of the Company lies in hiring bright young minds and letting them do their job. The growth of Moorehead has been a help to our area because of the jobs we have created.

In addition to the business, Steve has been the source of ideas which others have developed and managed including our local Trade Show, our local Skins Game, and our local Community Foundation. Although Steve's retired from Moorehead now, he still keeps a working office in our Marion home and stays involved in some other companies as an invester.
